Guest Service Seasonal Staff (Admissions and Concessions/Train Drivers) 

Must be 16yrs of age and have a valid drivers license to apply. 

 

 

Part-time Education Assistant

Reports to the Education Coordinator, Assistant Zoo Director, and ultimately the Zoo Director. Helps develop, maintain, and implement the zoo’s work in administration and education.

 

Educational Duties:

  • Assist with, and independently lead, camps, education events, and Zoo Crew programs
  • Assist in program evaluation and updates on a regular basis which includes lesson planning and implementing new ideas
  • Present animals and biofacts for on grounds programs as well as off grounds Wild Expedition visits, community outreach, etc.
  • Incorporate empathy programming and be involved with the ACE for Wildlife Empathy program via the Dakota Zoo
  • Incorporate conservation and the zoos mission to “instill and inspire a better understanding and appreciation for animals and nature” throughout all education programming

Administrative Duties:

  • Assist with membership database input
  • Assist with social media
  • Assist with education rentals, event check in, and bookings as needed

 

~15hrs per week, year-round. Work days TBD based on candidate. Flexible as needed to ensure events, training, and education programs are covered.
