Dakota Zoo Crew

This youth program is designed for young men and women ages 14 through 18.

 

Zoo Crew

Youth volunteers, along with adult advisors primarily lead this active group.  They develop leadership abilities while also enjoying nature and the great outdoors.

 

Activities include:

  • "Shadow-keeping": working with the zookeepers.

  • Build projects at the Zoo.

  • Assist with various events and camps throughout the year.

  • And Much, much, more!

Please note: Membership in this group requires a commitment of time and effort.  Each member has duties that he/she are required to complete to remain an active member.  Each member must have a current Dakota Zoo Membership to participate.

 

Off-Season Events:

  • Assist with Ed-Venture Camps.

  • Assist with Saturdays with Santa.

  • Assist with Winter Zookeeper Camp.

  • Assist with Easter Egg Hunt.

 

Membership

Zoo Crew Meetings

This active group of young volunteers meets during the summer in the Discovery Center.

 

The Dakota Zoo relies heavily on the volunteer efforts of many generous people.  Volunteering is simple, fun, and the hours are flexible.
