Dakota Zoo Photo Contest

Photo contests are for Dakota Zoo members AND visitors.

       Prizes are awarded in three age categories: 12 and under, 13-18, and 19+

• Photos must be taken at the Dakota Zoo from public walkways or viewing areas.

• All Zoo safety rules must be followed including NO going over fences or other dangerous behaviors.

• A maximum of three photos may be submitted by each photographer.

• All submitted photos must be either 5” X 7” or 8” X 10” and dry mounted.

• Each photo must have the photographer’s name, address, phone and membership number (if applicable) clearly printed on the back of the mounting board.

• Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd & 3rd in each of the three age categories.

• Photos will be judged on interest, composition, and technical quality.

• All photographs will be displayed at the Dakota Zoo for one month after the contest end date.

• Entrants will be notified when photos are available for pickup--we will not mail photographs.

• Winners may be asked to allow the Dakota Zoo to use their photographs for publications and electronic communications.
