Dakota Zoo Conservation Camp

The Dakota Zoo Conservation Camps are for children ages 8-12.  These week-long, half-day camps are designed to teach youngsters about animals and help to develop a caring attitude towards nature. It provides a fun, hands-on experience, while giving a more in-depth look at the many different animal species living at Dakota Zoo.

The various activities include unique behind the scenes animal presentations from zookeepers, preparing enrichment for our animals, and much, much more!  Participants will have the opportunity to leave camp with well-rounded knowledge regarding wildlife conservation, the role of zoos in conservation, and what they can do to help the animals they love! This, along with plenty of fun games and activities, makes this the perfect camp for anyone with an interest in animals.
