Art with the Animals

This class affords participants the opportunity to merge the love of animals and artistic creation within a two hour creative session.  Participants will learn about how our many animal residents are given special care and enrichment by Dakota Zoo staff, the conservation efforts being made for their species, and best of all, will have a chance to create their own artistic rendition. Join Dave Ely (local artist extraordinaire, creator of the Clyde carving in our Discovery Center and senior keeper here at the zoo), as he teaches participants how to create their own wolf sculpture out of easy to work with clay..  Anyone from the age of 14 years through adulthood, beginner to expert, are welcome to participate in this innovative class.

$30 members, $35 non-Zoo members
