Insects/Creepy Crawlies

One of the largest cockroaches, it can grow up to three inches in length and one and one half inches wide.  It is found in the West Indies, Panama and northern South America.  They are commonly used as experimental animals in entomology labs.
Giant Cockroach
The hiss of this cockroach can be heard up to 12 feet away.  The hiss is created by expelling air through breathing pores along each side of its body.  They rarely invade human areas, preferring rainforests.

Madagascar Hissing
   
These creatures are obviously named for the color of the hair on their leg joints.  Most popular of the pet tarantulas, they can live up to 30 years and grow to five to five and one half inches. They come from the Pacific side of Mexico.
Mexican Orange Knee Tarantula
So named due to its resemblance to a twig, they are found mostly in tropical climates.  Some species can grow up to 12 inches
